The Ops Sup Specialist is an entry level position responsible for providing operations support services, including but not limited to; Reconciliation and Resolution of General Ledger outages and escalate issues in coordination with the Operations - Core Team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure seamless delivery of day-to-day operations support services in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Validation of credit card related settlements and performing journals to balance the General ledgers. Reconciliation and Resolution of General Ledger outages and supervise escalated issues, providing efficient and effective service to Citi’s clients
- Recommending new work procedures to help streamline operations
- Comprehensive knowledge of General Ledger Reconciliation / Research / Investigation process across multiple applications
- Conduct training, monitor quality and quantity of team and provide suggestions to improve the efficiency of the team Communicate daily with management on productivity, quality, availability, Management Information System (MIS) indicators, as well as providing written and oral communications to supported business areas for approval of correct financial entries and resolution of incorrect entries
- Analyze operations information and make evaluative judgements to solve problems Responsible for identifying and resolving routine problems and operational issues with broader departmental impact within established procedures
- Support expansive and diverse array of products and services
- Assist with ongoing Lean and process improvement project
- Resolve complex problems based on best practice/precedence, Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work unsupervised and apply problem solve capabilities
- Ability to work occasional weekends to support COB testing
- Demonstrated analytical skills and mathematical knowledge
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
