GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Employee operates and monitors operating equipment. Performs periodic checks to ensure quality standards and trouble shoots light mechanical problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate and maintain equipment.
Verify manufacturing process and quality standards.
Trouble shoots machine problems.
Maintains required production and quality documentation.
Complies with safety rules and regulations.
Cooperates / assists co-workers as required.
Must be able to multi-task and manage time efficiently.
Self-starter and show initiative.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least 1 year of manufacturing or agricultural job experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
This job requires ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift and/or weekends. Shift premium applies for 2nd and 3rd shift.
Ability to work at heights over 50 feet.
