Job Description

The Execution and Enablement (E&E) team is U.S. Bank Operations’ strategy and delivery function, partnering with leaders across the organization to solve complex business challenges and lead large‑scale transformation initiatives. The team drives measurable improvements in efficiency, risk management, cost, productivity, quality, and customer and employee experience.

Within the E&E team, this role supports Merchant Payment Services (MPS) Operations across Europe and the U.S., helping drive operational strategy, AI-enabled transformation, and enterprise scale execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of the global MPS Operations strategy and target operating model, translating strategic priorities into clear, multi‑year operational roadmaps.
  • Support shaping and delivery of the MPS Operations AI roadmap by identifying high impact use cases, defining milestones, and ensuring appropriate risk and compliance oversight.
  • Business delivery leadership of key strategic initiatives by partnering across operations, technology, risk, finance, analytics, compliance, and other key stakeholders.
  • Establish strong execution governance, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, track adoption and benefits realization, and conduct ongoing cost benefit analysis to optimize outcomes.
  • Ensure initiatives align with regulatory, risk, and compliance standards, maintaining effective controls throughout transformation efforts.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across regions and functions, influencing outcomes without direct authority and facilitating executive level governance forums.
  • Support change management efforts, including communications and training, to support successful adoption of new processes and AI capabilities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to cross functional teams and contribute thought leadership and best practices within the MPS Execution and Enablement function.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience delivering strategic transformation initiatives within operations, technology, or financial services environments; Agile ways of working exposure preferred.
  • Strong business delivery capabilities, including planning, risk and dependency management, and execution governance; exposure to merchant acquiring or payments is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Proven problem-solving mindset with strong ownership, judgment, and execution discipline; formal project or program management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile) preferred.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high expectations environments.
  • Exposure to global digital or AI-driven initiatives is a plus.


Location expectations  
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
