Summary:
As a Team Lead, you will partner with a Production Supervisor to lead a team of operators in their daily tasks, schedule production needs, and respond to changing priorities. You will serve as the main point of contact on the production floor for employee concerns and operational issues. This role includes contributing to performance management and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead daily production activities, ensuring processes are executed safely, on time, and to quality standards
Conduct start-up and end-of-shift meetings; monitor hour-by-hour performance and escalate issues
Assist in scheduling, coordinating work, delegating tasks, and resolving production challenges
Serve as primary contact for operators, providing training, coaching, and recognition
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation and SAP transactions
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and Kaizen events
Promote and enforce safety policies and respond to hazards promptly
Lead assembly and testing of advanced sensor systems and associated fluidics components, ensuring adherence to detailed work instructions and quality standards
Oversee precision alignment, calibration, and performance verification using specialized tools and software
Coordinate documentation and data integrity for build records, calibration reports, and quality checks
Train and guide operators on complex assembly steps, troubleshooting, and safe handling of sensitive components
Monitor and enforce compliance with safety protocols for lasers, chemicals, and pressurized systems
Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Physical Requirements):
Minimum seven years manufacturing experience; previous leadership experience preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to hold yourself and others accountable
Ability to work off shift or modify schedule for team meetings and leadership training as needed
Associate or technical degree preferred
Ability to read, understand, and follow documented processes and technical drawings
Ability to perform basic math computations and computer data entry
Ability to use measuring devices, hand tools, and power tools
Ability to repetitively pinch and grasp hand tools, twist, bend, and handle small screws, washers, fasteners.
Experience with precision assembly involving optics, electronics, or fluidics preferred
Competence with measurement tools, multimeters, and basic calibration techniques
Familiarity with computer-based testing and data entry systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality under changing priorities
Safety and Quality:
Promote strict adherence to safety standards for laser operation, chemical handling, and pressurized systems
Ensure compliance with ISO and internal quality systems
