Our Operations Proposal Manager will be responsible for managing electrical installation subcontractor bids for small, medium, and large-scale material handling systems. They will collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations to develop RFQ, solicit bids and evaluate subcontractor quotes to support customer proposals.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Confer with sales engineers, project managers, customers, and others to discuss and understand project specifications, scope and design requirements.
· Prepare RFQ for electrical installation per project requirements including drawings, specifications, and schedule.
· Aid in the development of customer proposals and pricing estimates.
· Work to assigned bid due dates and proposal completion deadlines.
· Work with company provided pricing tools and assist in the improvement and enhancement of those tools.
· Work with subcontractors to acquire comprehensive quotes in a timely manner.
· Schedule proposal reviews with subcontractors and internal departments.
· Evaluate quotes for compliance with project requirements.
· Collaborate with project management and engineering to establish a clear scope of work.
· Create Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Request for Proposals (RFP) in a concise and clear manner.
· Review customer schedules and collaborate with stakeholders to establish a feasibility proposal schedule.
· Maintain record of subcontractor’s quotes and provide sales team and operation’s managers with relevant data and discrepancies between quotes.
· Great communication skills are required to communicate designs, ideas, and pricing information to other team members and functional groups.
· Travel to job sites as required for design review, concepts, or site evaluations may be required.

· Willing to travel 10 to 15% of the time for on-site customer reviews.
· Proficiency with MS Office, Primavera P6, MS Project, & AutoCAD.
· Product knowledge of electrical controls components and equipment.
· Experience using Accubid to generate construction estimates is advantageous.
Required Experience and Education:
· Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or other relevant field.
· 2 years of experience within industrial automation
