Job Description:

This role leads complex projects, initiatives, and programs across all functional areas of our manufacturing facilities and the business, ensuring clearly defined project success criteria are achieved while delivering strategic and business outcomes. Reporting to the Operations Projects Group Leader and partnering closely with the Enterprise Project Management team, this individual applies appropriate project management methodologies (EPM, DMAIC, Agile) to facilitate, organize, and lead cross‑functional teams. The role brings structure and direction to complex, often developmental or prototypical efforts by clearly defining vision, mission, goals, and execution plans, enabling operations teams to meet financial, scope, and schedule commitments. This individual will partner with executives, senior leaders, plant leaders, plant SME’s, cross-functional business leaders and other stakeholders to prioritize and execute projects, guide strategic initiatives crossing business teams, and promote a strong understanding of project management and project portfolio management within the operations organization.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work schedule (Monday-Friday) located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The hybrid work schedule is 3 days/week onsite at Home Office and 2 days/week from home.

What you’ll do:

  • Leads cross-functional operations teams for assigned projects. Ensures adherence to sound project management processes (EPM, DMAIC, Agile) to achieve desired project and business outcomes. Manages day-to-day activities of the project team; guide them to understand and apply the EPM process.
  • Identifies, develops, provides, and documents standardized project management processes and tools for the manufacturing operations organization.
  • Collaborates with Operations senior leadership team to determine project management skill development and project assistance needs.                        
  • Leads continuous improvement activities supporting the organizational maturity of the project management process.                         
  • Grows and develops the manufacturing operations team in project management including assignment of projects that leverage individual strengths and develop growth areas.                    
  • Strategic planning development that continues to elevate organizational project management expertise, maturity, and impact.                          
  • Establishes meaningful measures and report on results and progress of project management programs/initiatives.                          
  • Advocates for project management best practices at Schreiber and assists in the growth of Schreiber’s organizational competency.                  
  • Works with other areas of the business to integrate core project related disciplines into one cohesive project execution strategy.
  • Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.     

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years Business and/or Project related experience (ideally in manufacturing).
  • Ideal candidate will have emerging to strong degree of project management competence and project experiences.
  • Strong organizational and communication skillset; highly organized, process oriented, strong desire to learn new skills in the project space.  Servant leadership mindset.  High attention to detail.
  • Desire to grow and take on new challenges and opportunities.  Must be self-motivated and ability to be self-led at times.  High energy yet methodical with ability to make decisions, build trust and facilitate negotiations.
  • Ability to travel 25% - 50% (within and outside of the US)
