Job Description

The Operations Pharmacist – Evening Shift is responsible for supporting safe, efficient medication distribution and pharmacy operations during evening hours. This role is primarily based in the central pharmacy and focuses on ensuring accurate and timely medication preparation, dispensing, and delivery to patients across the organization.

Key responsibilities include operational oversight of sterile products and medication distribution workflows in our main pharmacy. Additional responsibilities include oversight of pharmacy technicians and interns, troubleshooting medication-related issues, managing urgent medication needs, and supporting regulatory and safety standards. The pharmacist plays a critical role in maintaining continuity of pharmacy operations, optimizing workflow efficiency, and ensuring patients receive medications safely and promptly in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

In a retail/community pharmacy setting: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Must have a thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations. In a medical center or institutional setting: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Must have a thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations. Hospital experience or residency preferred.



License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position.
