Position Highlights:
The ideal candidate for the Manager for Home Infusion Pharmacy has previous home infusion leadership experience and understands the unique opportunities and challenges this area of pharmacy presents. Manager is responsible for direct development, implementation, support, and evaluation of home infusion services to meet the needs of patients and caregivers. Manager is accountable for selection, orientation, training, development, and performance evaluation of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. This leader will work in close cooperation with other departmental managers to grow the program, and must be able to demonstrate, by actions and decisions, a dedication to continuous quality improvement while contributing to a successful and productive team environment. Manager will actively participate in the departmental strategic planning process providing leadership and insight in the provision of patient-focused services for home infusion. Manager will prepare and monitor the financial budget for home infusion and uphold the standards of the system-wide motto of "Serious Medicine. Extraordinary Care."

Duties: Home Infusion Manager - Pharmacy
Lead the development, implementation, support, and evaluation of pharmacy operational services in assigned areas. Manage selection, orientation, training, development, and performance evaluation of Retail/Specialty pharmacy staff.
Initiate and maintain effective communication to promote positive department relations across the organization. Demonstrate a dedication to continual patient-oriented pharmaceutical care and constant quality improvement to achieve department and organizational goals. Develop, implement and execute strategies that will impact the financial performance of the department. Actively participate in decision-making related to 340B processes for hospital owned
pharmacies and contract pharmacy partners. Assure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards for Retail/Specialty operations.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of seven years experience in pharmacy, general hospital, or process improvement in a healthcare environment required.
Minimum of three years direct supervisory experience required.
Licensed in the state of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted upon start or transfer required OR currently registered with the State of NE as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician required.
Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master degree with 10 years of pharmacy experience required.
Master's degree within 24 months of transfer or hire required.
Demonstrated independent problem-solving and self-directed work experience required.
Proficiency in operational aspects of a complex retail/specialty and/or contract pharmacy operation required.
Demonstrated advancement of patient care/safety through improvement of pharmacy operations required.
Comprehensive understanding of 340B program required.
Expert knowledge of pharmacy software to include and not limited to creation of third party plans, pricing files, and reporting required.
Working knowledge of confidentiality laws, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and third party payer billing submission required.
Demonstrate ability to evaluate workflow and implement changes as required.
Ability to lead and develop others, analytical comprehension, research capabilities and data analysis skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory or leadership experience in hospital owned pharmacy preferred.
Experience with of 340B processes preferred.
American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Pharmacy Leadership Academy graduate Apexus PVP 340B preferred.
University program completion preferred.
