About The Team

College Operations provides comprehensive academic and administrative support across all disciplines within the Colleges. It is a focused, multi-skilled, and digitally capable team that delivers high-quality technical, operational, project, event, and general support services to academics and researchers. Through this work, College Operations enables Murdoch University to successfully achieve its three core activities: Education, Research, and Engagement.

Your New Role!  

As part of the Operations Team supporting the College of Law, Arts and Social Sciences, the Operations officer handles College operations functions and provides administrative support that is thorough and effective for research, teaching and workload functions within the College.

Your key responsibilities will include –

  • Provide high-quality administrative and operational support across the College of Environmental and Life Sciences, from recruitment and onboarding to purchasing, travel and asset management.
  • Assist with academic and student support activities including workload coordination, results, processing and committee administration.
  • Coordinate events, communications, and engagement activities, ensuring everything tuns smoothly from planning to delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to streamline processes and enhance service delivery across the College.
  • Contribute to compliance, reporting, and data management, ensuring accuracy and alignment with University standards.

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $73,342 - $89,772 plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Completion of a diploma level qualification with relevant work experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in business operational support or office administration.
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in the production of high-level work using software such as Microsoft Office
  • Organisational, time and workload management skills
  • Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively.
