As an Operations Case Manager on the Annuity New Business team, you’ll show genuine care for our field partner and consumers through the work that we do. You’re highly motivated and empowered to take ownership and accountability for each interaction by proactively seeking to understand the individuals behind the work. You’ll keep our field partners and consumers informed during every step of their request and actively engaging with them to create meaningful and unexpected experiences. The ideal candidate will be well organized and experienced in driving positive changes, enjoys team collaboration, and being hands-on with leadership. They possess exceptional communication skills, hold an innovative and proactive mind, and understand what it takes to drive a consumer-centric operation. The candidate will also be well-versed in annuity operations including replacement regulations, Best Interest standards, and various annuity order entry platforms, and ensure adherence to regulations while balancing the consumer experience. The candidate must build relationships within Operations & Services, along with cross-functional business partners throughout Guardian.

You will

  • Partner with Financial Representatives to resolve outstanding requirements for new business and post issue transactions.
  • Proactively monitor, prioritize, and process work items related to annuity new business and post issue functions.
  • Possess a broad understanding of annuity products, illustrations, systems, and industry regulations.
  • Monitor daily feeds and communications to ensure annuity orders are properly reflected in our system.
  • Partner with Product Management, Compliance, and various departments across the organization to orchestrate successful and compliant product launches.
  • Triage escalations and complex requests to determine the critical path to resolution, setting appropriate expectations and providing timely status updates to external partners.
  • Assist in systems testing and create training materials for the team.
  • Operate at a high level to consistently exceed business unit quality and service level agreement standards.
  • Collaborate on or lead cross functional tasks and projects, while acting as a liaison to provide updates to management.
  • Foster a collaborative, consumer-centric, and innovative team culture.

You have

  • Exceptional organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to simultaneously manage multiple business processes or functions.
  • Exceptional level of accountability, discretion, and independent decision making.
  • Demonstrates a positive, professional, and proactive approach to work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • 3 years of financial service or annuity operations experience is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • FINRA Securities licenses are preferred (Series 6 or 7).

Reporting Relationships

As our Operations Case Manager, you’ll report to the Annuity Operations Team Lead, who reports to our Manager of Annuity New Business Operations.

Location

The primary location for this position is our Bethlehem, PA, office location for three days each week, and work from home eligible for two days each week. You must be able to come to campus at any time, and the required number of in-office days are subject to change.

Travel

10% Travel required for this position. You’ll be expected to travel to a Guardian work location, as determined by your manager.

Salary Range:

$49,260.00 - $73,890.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
