Job Summary: About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Dyess Bowling Center, Dyess AFB, TX.. This position will be assigned to the. This position will be filled as regular part time 20 hours guaranteed per week

Major Duties:

  • Assists with the management and operation of a bowling center, ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent customer service, and compliance with facility standards. In support of bowling center operations, Will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the pro shop and snack bar. This includes assigning lanes, operating the control console and POS system, issuing rental items, taking food orders, and selling merchandise. Will track labor, food/beverage, and inventory costs to ensure budget goals are met, and conduct regular inventories to maintain appropriate stock levels. Will also review and evaluate sources for supplies and merchandise, resolving deviations and ensuring customer demands are met. Will ensure maintenance and preventive maintenance are performed on all bowling-related equipment and will receive and resolve customer complaints and requests. As required, Will supervise and coordinate the daily activities of other employees, and may temporarily assume the duties of the Bowling Center Manager or Assistant Manager in their absence. Will organize and schedule open and league bowling, assist in advertising and recruiting participants for leagues, tournaments, and special events, and may serve as league secretary or tournament director. Will ensure all activities are properly scheduled, facilities are set up, and rules and regulations are observed. May also open and close the facility as required. May help monitor work schedules, maintain computerized time management data, and enter time into SETS for NAF employees. Compile information for daily financial reports, prepare bank deposits, and maintain stock records, purchase orders, work orders, and other financial data. Prepare daily activity reports for submission to NAF AO. Using the Qubica Point of Sale (QPS) system, update member handicaps, process league reports and recap sheets, and maintain QPS for the snack bar and control counter. Will provide customer service by answering patron and visitor questions regarding facility usage, programs, and events. May operate the cash register and perform cash handling duties when needed and assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. Qualifying Experience: : Must have experience which provides a basic knowledge and understanding of bowling center operations including the rules related to bowling and organization of leagues and tournaments. Must have a working knowledge of bowling machinery and equipment and bowling lane care. Must have experience in receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes direct handling of cash items, and use of cash accountability control methods. Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Prior experience in basic supply techniques is desirable. Completion of food safety training within 30 days of appointment. Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
