Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and hands-on Operations and Warehouse Intern to join our Global Digital Solutions (GDS) team.
In this role, you will be responsible for mastering the end-to-end operational flow of an electronic recycling facility, including the physical breakdown, triage, and inventory management of assets while maintaining high safety and efficiency standards.
In this role, you will:
Execute the full asset lifecycle process, from initial shipping and receiving to the detailed breakdown and triage of electronic components, ensuring maximum value recovery.
Collaborate with warehouse leads and multidisciplinary floor teams to manage daily process flows and meet operational throughput targets in a fast-paced environment.
Ensure strict compliance with environmental and organizational safety standards, maintaining a clean and disciplined workspace within a high-volume plant setting.
The ideal candidate will have:
A strong interest or background in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a Technical Trade
Strong knowledge of operational mechanics and an ability to quickly absorb technical information and deploy it effectively in a team setting.
Proven ability in interpersonal leadership and problem-solving, specifically the "roll up your sleeves" attitude required to gain respect on a production floor.
Continuing Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s or equivalent required; current enrollment in a trade school or college degree program in a relevant field is highly preferred.
Salary details: $20.00 per hour.
Shifts: Summer Internship (May 27th – August 7th) with opportunity to extend.
