Operations Analyst

SMX is seeking an Operations Analyst to support USINDOPACOM J6 portfolio of programs. 

This position will be working at Camp Smith, Hickam AFB and SMX Pearlridge Headquarter on Oahu, Hawaii. 

This position requires a DoD security clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, team members, and cross‑functional partners
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail by reviewing, prioritizing, and responding to correspondence accurately and in a timely manner
  • Perform administrative and operational support tasks, including scheduling meetings through Outlook and managing documentation workflows
  • Monitor project milestones, track progress, and ensure accountability for ongoing initiatives
  • Oversee account tracking activities and coordinate seamless onboarding processes for incoming personnel
  • Develop, write, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user guides, and other technical documentation to support operational efficiency
  • Create clear, professional PowerPoint presentations tailored for military audiences, including LTC‑level and senior leadership briefings
  • Utilize Excel for data management, tracking, analysis, and reporting
  • Build and sustain productive working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Quickly learn and adapt to new processes, tools, and systems in a dynamic environment
  • Deliver training and present technical or operational information effectively to groups of up to 50 participants

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Minimum, Interim Secret with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • BS/BA in Technical discipline OR
  • Associate’s degree and additional experience in relevant field may be substituted for a BS/BA
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Background in managing account tracking workflows and coordinating onboarding processes for incoming personnel
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, write, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user guides, and other technical documentation to support operational requirements
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and time‑management capabilities
  • Ability to complete tasks within required timeframes with little to no supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer focused
  • Capacity to learn new systems and/or processes rapidly and adapt quickly to change

Desired Skills & Experience 

  • Familiarity with INDOPACOM terminology, mission focus areas, and operational language
  • Experience developing military‑style PowerPoint presentations for senior leaders, including LTC‑level and above
  • Understanding of military operations, organizational structures, and command hierarchies (preferred)
  • Proven self‑starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive tasks to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Skilled in building professional relationships and maintaining effective networks
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools, processes, and systems
  • Confident presenter with experience facilitating training or delivering presentations to groups of up to 50 participants

The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. The proposed salary for this position is:
$86,000$143,300 USD
