Summer 2026 Work Term

Term Length: 4 months

Term Start: May 4, 2026

Term End: August 21, 2026

The pay range for the co-op student role will reflect factors such as the candidate's experience, academic level, and the specific skillset required for the role.

Why This Position is Important:

In this co-op position, you will collaborate and work closely with various business stakeholders (e.g., Credit Risk, Sales, Product, Central Operations, etc.) within PC Bank, to manage third party risk. This position will assist the Manager of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) to implement processes, controls and systems (e.g., ongoing monitoring, third party assessments, governance meetings, etc.) to ensure PC Bank is effectively managing their TPRM program and is aligned with the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSF)I regulations.  

This is an opportunity to learn more broadly about PC Bank by helping to manage our third parties and make connections to the business strategies, products, and operations. You will get the chance to meet with some of our critical third parties, while getting hands-on experience in non-financial risk management. 

What You Will Do:

  • Attend and help document minutes for management level third party governance meetings, 
  • Review and assist with scoring third party inherent risk, criticality and due diligence assessments,
  • Work alongside the Manager, TPRM, to enhance the overall program and ensure alignment to the OSFI’s B-10 Guideline,
  • Assist in the collection and reporting of data for the monthly Operational Risk Management Committee, which includes Executive team members,
  • Develop and prepare an agenda for third party onsite visits, 
  • Assist in the creation of critical third party contingency plans,
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders to provide ongoing, support of the Bank’s third party risk management program, and
  • Address ad-hoc requests and prepare reports, as required.

What Skills and Assets You Will Need: 

  • Experience in Finance / Risk Management, would be considered a strong asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinker with the proven ability to solve problems and make decisions based on qualitative and/or quantitative analysis
  • Organized and excellent time management skills
  • Team player, with strong social skills 
  • Positive demeanor – eager to learn and provide suggestions to enhance our processes
