Job Title: Operational Readiness Specialist
Location: Fort Meade, MD

As part of the Agile Defense team supporting the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) and the Interagency Intelligence and Cyber Operations Network (ICON), you will work alongside government and industry partners to support cyber intelligence operations, digital network exploitation, and operational effectiveness across a diverse set of national security missions. NSIN, a program office within the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), builds communities of innovators to develop solutions to national security challenges in support of the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and other government organizations. Through ICON, NSIN delivers intelligence and cyber capabilities to a broad range of mission partners, including U.S. Cyber Command, Cyber Mission Forces, Combatant Commands, Intelligence Community organizations, and DoD components. In this role, you will directly support cyber intelligence and network exploitation activities contributing to mission execution across cyber intelligence operations, defensive and offensive cyber operations, and DoD information network operations.
SUMMARY
The Operational Readiness Specialist provides direct administrative, coordination, and readiness support to Joint Task Force leadership to ensure personnel, resources, and processes are postured to meet operational requirements. This role focuses on maintaining accurate manning and alert rosters, supporting command-level documentation and records management, and enabling effective coordination across staff functions.
The Specialist plays a critical role in supporting operational tempo by managing schedules, space resources, supplies, and communications, while also supporting recruiting coordination and applicant engagement activities. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a high-visibility, classified environment.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage and maintain alert, accountability, and manning rosters to support operational readiness and personnel availability.
· Coordinate with Joint Task Force staff and Command leadership to ensure accurate readiness posture and timely updates to personnel status.
· Provide document control and administrative management support for Joint Task Force leadership, including tracking and accountability of key records.
· Manage performance, recognition, and related administrative documentation in accordance with Command requirements.
· Provide integrated scheduling support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and space/resource allocation for Joint Task Force activities.
· Support space resource management for Command facilities and operational areas.
· Coordinate requirements for supplies and materials, including ordering, tracking, delivery, and distribution.
· Support recruiting efforts by coordinating recruiting events, advertising opportunities, and outreach activities within Command spaces.
· Manage correspondence with Joint Task Force applicants, including interview coordination, scheduling, and feedback tracking.
· Provide meeting facilitation and communications support, including preparation of agendas, materials, and action item tracking.
· Serve as a reliable point of contact for administrative and readiness-related coordination across staff elements.
