Summary:

Join our surgical scheduling team as a Senior Clinical Center Associate and play a key role in keeping our operating rooms running smoothly. In this fast-paced and collaborative role, you’ll be the hub of communication between surgical clinics, physicians, anesthesia teams, vendors, and support departments. You’ll prepare and distribute surgical schedules in advance, manage real-time updates, and ensure everyone has the information they need for a seamless surgical day. Using the PICIS scheduling system, you’ll coordinate everything from routine bookings to urgent add-on cases, arrange anesthesia support, and make sure special equipment or vendor representatives are in place when needed. You’ll lead our daily huddles, help resolve scheduling conflicts, and work closely with clinical partners to adapt plans on the fly. Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

1. Medical Office Assistant Associate’s degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
2. Associate’s degree and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of five (5) year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
5. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) year of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).


NOTE:
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will possess an associate degree or higher and demonstrate strong customer service experience. Experience with timekeeping processes and working within a hospital setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with surgical scheduling and medical terminology is also preferred. In addition, a stable work history that reflects reliability, consistency, and professional commitment will be viewed favorably.
