An organization within Northrop Grumman’s Launch and Exploration Division, Civil Space and Sciences Business Unit, Human Exploration and Operations Operating Unit is seeking an experienced Program Manager.
The Program Manager will be a direct report to the Human Exploration and Operations Program Manager 3 and will have responsibility for the Collaborations for Commercial Space Capabilities-2 (CCSC-2) Space Act Agreement (SAA) between Northrop Grumman and NASA/JSC. The Program Manager will be accountable for management and execution of schedule, programmatic, and technical performance within the SAA constraints. In addition, the role will support new business pursuits.
Please note this is a part-time position. The salary range is based on a full-time schedule and will be prorated to the extent the schedule is reduced.
Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring that program operational objectives are met
Establish and maintain program organization which effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates necessary internal and external sub-organizations
Identification, distribution, tracking, and completion of program requirements, Resource Requests, and action items
Effective cultivation and management of deliverables within program commitments
Deliver presentations to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders
Cultivate customer relationships to develop further opportunities within the customer community
Participate in proposal preparation, business plans, proposal work statements, and specifications
Ensure program team familiarity and adherence with SAA scope, and manage change through control approved procedures
Accountable for results that impact the performance and success of the program’s objectives
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years’ experience in Program Management; OR a Master’s degree and 8 years’ experience
Program Management experience on NASA human spaceflight programs
Experience with new product development in the Space Industry
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Ability to travel 20% of the time
US Citizenship in required
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, or MS in Engineering
Team leadership experience of program teams with 30+ members across all functions
Primary Level Salary Range: $175,500.00 - $263,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
