Job Description:

Job Purpose:

The Officer – Case Management is primarily responsible for implementing field-level case management activities in alignment with the priorities of the Bangladesh Crisis Response Program. The role involves providing technical guidance and operational support to Caseworkers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality case management services. The Officer will work closely with the Project Coordinator to strengthen case management systems and promote effective, timely, and client-centered interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Implementation & Management:

  • Assist in designing training and Provide opportunities for capacity building to field-level teams in case management processes, procedures, and relevant interventions among others.

  • Conduct regular supervision meetings with caseworkers/assign assistants for case management to ensure the effectiveness of the case management process.

  • Review the follow-up of cases, and ensure all cases are managed within acceptable timelines

  • Work in close collaboration with the community systems to strengthen the relationship with the community in line with the referral system

  • Work with the relevant team and stakeholders especially the child protection team to ensure close links between case management and WVI’s work with community-based child protection mechanisms, CFSs, and learning centers among others

  • Ensure internal and external referral mechanisms (with other sectors) are in place and cases are appropriately managed and followed up when referred

  • Ensure safeguarding compliance (this includes visitors and media protocols, partnering with communities and other agencies or CBOs and children participation) with World Vision’s policies, CPSS, and standards and guidelines.

  • Take part in the implementation of case management program interventions, manage and support the PSS Program Implementation Team including Coaching with clear standards of accountability

  • Ensure field-level coordination with other sectors such as education GBV, site management, and sector/Camp coordination

  • Collaborate with teams to generate activity concept notes and review financial reports to maintain accurate spending reports and up-to-date budgets

Quality CP Program implementation and sustainability:

  • Generate and maintain the case management and CPiE implementation plans

  • Ensure community-level participation for men, women, boys, and girls taking into account local needs

  • Follow up with Camp level accountability staff to respond to feedback from areas of implementation to strengthen case management implementation

  • Coordinate and support the establishment of a CP/CM database to contribute to the indicator reporting

  • Develop case management activities that mainstream child safeguarding while working with other sectors.

  • Facilitate donor field visits to ensure proper communication and relationships between World Vision and communities.

  • Ensure field-level coordination with other sectors such as education GBV, site management, and sector/Camp coordination

Partnership, Networking & Advocacy:

  • Maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders of PSS related.

  • Ensure proper communication with sector focal at the camp level, team members, and supervisor and provide timely reports on PSS.

  • Ensure World Vision is appropriately represented during CiC meetings, CP focal point meetings, case conferencing, and DSS camp-level meetings among others.

  • Link case workers with service providers and support effective collaboration

  • Ensure constant and transparent communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including community members, community leaders and families

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Compile quantitative and qualitative reports while updating the Case management database.

  • Facilitated allocated projects’ information and documentation processes and ensured effective communication of the project results.

  • Ensure WV participation in assessments in close coordination with the projects’ teams to feed into the design team during the drafting of the new proposals, making sure they match with the program objectives and donors' requirements.

  • Work closely with the team to generate proposals and reports

  • Ensure that files, registers, and computer databases are used appropriately and correctly and ensure caseworkers adhere to proper documentation and data protection protocols

Knowledge, Skill & Experience:

Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or Certification:

  • The applicants should hold a university degree in Social sciences, education, or international law. A Master’s degree is desirable.

  • A minimum of 2 -3 years’ experience in Social work/case management and emergency response.

  • Working with computer data and data management

  • Past exposure to working in CP/CM coordination or case management

  • Awareness of children’s rights

  • experience working in a team and collaboration with partners

  • Advanced knowledge of CPMS, CPIMS+ Red Cross, and NGO Code of Conduct

  • Strong interpersonal relationship and team-building background

  • Excellent analytical, documentation, problem-solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Possess the ability to work with different partners, local authorities, local organizations, and NGOs, to develop and maintain positive collaboration and relationships.

  • Must be ready to work in a multi-cultural environment

  • Familiar with CFSs, Case management, peacebuilding, community engagement, and adolescent engagement.

  • Appropriate communication skills and approachable

  • Must have no history of violation of children's rights.

  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity, and physical stamina

  • Ability to work in and contribute to the team-building environment

Required Language(s): Professional Proficiency in English, Bangla and Rohingya
