Office Engineer

Empire State Building, New York, New York Full time

STV is seeking a Construction Engineering Office Engineering Specialist for our Transportation department based in our New York, NY office.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements through review and verification of contractor submissions.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including RFIs/RFCs, submittals, daily reports, and change orders.
  • Coordinate and review material sampling and testing to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards, track material certifications and test results.
  • Assist in coordinating project schedules, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate records of construction activities.
  • Support field inspection teams by providing technical guidance, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with agency representatives, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to facilitate project success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 of years of experience in construction engineering and inspection
  • MTA C&D regarding sequence of field and/or construction activities
  • Familiarity with CE&I processes, contract administration, and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revit, PMIS, Primavera P6, Procore
  • MTA NYC Track Safety Certification
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior NY CE&I experience
  • OSHA 30 Hour Construction Training

Compensation Range:

$86,464.77 - $98,816.88
