Job Summary
We are seeking an Off-Site Linen Distribution Technician to join our team at the Northside Forsyth Hospital Healthcare Laundry Facility. We’re looking for someone who is confident in decision‑making, able to act quickly, and communicates effectively. Essential Functions
Safely transport clean linen in covered carts to assigned areas.
Collect soiled linen from designated locations and return it using covered carts.
Verify linen quantities before delivery.
Perform routine linen inventory counts.
Address and resolve client concerns.
Communicate potential issues and linen quality concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Build strong customer relationships by providing excellent support and partnering with internal teams to resolve issues.
Maintain and uphold quality standards.
Keep the department clean, organized, and safe.
Follow all institutional procedures and requirements.
Operate equipment and perform tasks necessary for department operations, as needed.
Understand, follow, and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
Perform general clerical duties such as typing and answering phones.
Comply with Joint Commission Standards.
Assist with additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
1–2 years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or similar industries.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Positive, proactive attitude with leadership capability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
Ability to operate laundry equipment, carts, and dispensing mechanisms.
Ability to stack and load linen items into carts.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and push/pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs.
Willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Comfort with giving and receiving open feedback.
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, reach overhead, bend, twist, push, pull, grasp, and lift 50+ lbs.
Ability to maneuver rolling carts of various sizes and weights (up to and exceeding 250 lbs).
Must be able to meet these physical demands for the entire shift.
Education
High School Diploma or GED.
1–2 years of related experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or similar environments.
