We are looking to add an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to our team!  

 

 

LOCATION : Remote 

REPORTS TO: Director Of Safety 

PAY: $68,000 – $88,000/ annually 

TRAVEL: up to 50% for audits, inspections, training, and investigations (including overnight travel). 

 

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITES:  

  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies. 

  • Deliver new-hire safety training and ongoing education programs. 

  • Monitor and review incident reports daily; coordinate investigations, medical care, and hazard mitigation. 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and SOPs for all jobs and facilities. 

  • Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses. 

  • Verify safety devices and equipment are functioning properly. 

  • Organize and lead safety committee meetings, including agendas, minutes, and documentation. 

  • Facilitate safety meetings and toolbox talks for field teams. 

  • Manage OSHA recordkeeping (300, 300A, 301) and maintain compliance logs. 

  • Oversee fire extinguisher checks and emergency response plans. 

  • Track and report monthly safety KPIs; complete state and federal reporting requirements. 

  • Support workers’ compensation claims and follow-up documentation. 

  • Lead the Hearing Conservation Program, including audiometric testing and employee training. 

  • Respond to emergencies, serious incidents, and regulatory inspections as needed. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:  

Education & Experience:  

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accident prevention and safety inspection. 

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety program development, and incident investigation. 

  • Familiarity with hearing conservation requirements and workers’ compensation processes. 

  • Excellent communication skills for training employees at all levels. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems. 

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
