Your role

In the position as Obsolescence Manager, Business Unit Submarines, you will get a key role within Obsolescence Management.

You will lead the work within the business unit establishing and driving Obsolescence Management to secure that our projects and products continue to operate safely and cost effectively. The role includes many interactions with stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, engineering, production, and service. You report to the section manager of Logistics Engineering - ILS. The role includes business travels between our offices in Lund and Karlskrona.

Your main tasks:

• Manage process and establish and implement best practices related to Obsolescence Management.
• Identify and introduce improvements to the working method and to it-systems.
• Drive change management, training and education of relevant stakeholders and colleagues.
• Lead decision forums and coordinate mitigation actions such as last‑time buys, qualification of alternate parts, or redesign.
• Contribute to customer offers, plans and contracts

Your profile

We believe you have several years of industry experience, proven leadership skills and the ability to cooperate and navigate in an organization developing and maintaining advanced products.

You have strong analytical and planning skills and the drive to deliver results on time with quality. We believe you are structured while showing flexibility, easily gaining trust and interacting with people at different levels.

Required skills:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. engineering degree or similar technical background.
• Several years' relevant experience in Obsolescence Management, Purchasing, Engineering or Integrated Logistics Support from high-reliability industries with long life products.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with cross-functional teams and external customers.
• Experience with PLM/ERP systems and configuration/change control processes.

Desired skills:

• Project Management
• Integrated Logistics Support
• Risk assessment methodology
• Engineering processes, tools and methods
• Familiarity with Obsolescence Management standards such as IEC 62402/BS 62402.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
