Job Overview
Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President of Nursing Services, the Nursing Informatics is responsible for the assessment, planning, training, implementation, evaluation, and optimization of nursing informatics projects. The role of this position is to analyze clinical informatics reports to synthesize knowledge, information decision support, and help manage outcomes: serve as an internal subject matter expert on clinical applications workflows; coordinate, facilitate, and serve as the translator for the back office nursing staff. Monitor the development and configuration of clinical applications and guide the clinical staff in the translation of user requirements into solutions. This position will also be responsible for the development of strategies around quality improvement/reporting, improved nursing workflows, nursing and support staff EHR expertise, and ensuring the health information technology is implemented within the organization in a meaningful way. Leads the design and execution of EHR back office and support staff workflow and template development changes that maximize patient safety, quality of care, and operational efficiency. Has a key role in the EHR implementation at new sites and regular technology upgrades within the organization. In partnership with nursing leadership, they help to ensure value realization with technology investments.
Minimum Requirements
A current, valid License as a Registered Nurse through the California Board of Registered Nursing is required.
A minimum of 3 years hospital or clinic-related nursing experience; a minimum of 2 years’ experience in informatics is preferred.
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing preferred; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Preferred EPIC Certification.
Preferred Informatics Nursing Certification or Nurse Informatics degree preferred.
Familiarity with process improvement techniques such as LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.
Bilingual English/Spanish/ preferred.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Compensation
$113,637.08 - $142,046.35 annuallyCompensation Disclaimer

The range is subject to change.
