Job description

We provide strategic analysis and advice to the Hitachi Vantara sales leadership in Northern EMEA region (UK & Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Africa, Middle East & Pakistan) supporting planning, decision-making and forecast management to enable the business to focus on Customers and on leading the sales organisation to success.  Our team is highly visible, working closely with leaders across Inside Sales, Commercial and Enterprise Accounts segments, with responsibility for translating the sales strategy into an operating model and collaboration is critical to our success.
 

What you’ll be doing

  • Be an effective business partner:
    • Lead, coach and develop a regional diverse Sales Operations team of 4 to deliver high value support, implement best practice and drive consistency across the business
    • Act as an adviser to the Northern Regional Sales RVP and act as a proxy when needed
    • Proactively assess go-to-market coverage and performance, and identify, evaluate and resolve fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction
    • Work with Regional RVP and EMEA Sales Operations to plan, localize and execute sales strategy and processes within a global framework
    • Represent region in global business planning, sales compensation strategy, and coverage discussions
    • Act as a regional leader and liaison to functions supporting Regional RVP, including Finance, HR, Marketing, and Pre-sales teams
  • Drive sales operational excellence
    • Define seller activities, productivity benchmarks, and pipeline best practices, and provide recommendations to regional leadership
    • Coordinate sales enablement and development initiatives within the region
    • Ensure efficient deal velocity via deal management process improvement initiatives in consultation with all necessary functions
    • Implement sales processes and data governance with attention to consistency, quality, and global alignment across order-to-cash cycle
  • Lead sales performance management
    • Ensure sellers and managers are provided dashboards with visibility and insight into targeting, performance, and customers activities in alignment with GTM strategy
    • Cascade global and regional KPIs for measurement of successful go-to-market strategy and business programs
    • Implement cadence of regional weekly Forecast, QBRs, and productivity metrics
  • Orchestrate regional planning
    • Responsible for overall planning, quota allocation, and territory alignments for all sales roles, in collaboration with the RVP and leaders in sales, operations, finance and HR
    • Researches and anticipates economic factors that could influence strategies and company position in the market and reacts accordingly
    • Work with operations finance, sales leaders, and HR to optimize resources in order to achieve bookings results, including forward-looking resource needs, as well as op-ex optimization
