Summary

GEICO Special Investigations Unit is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead our Non-Medical Major Case Team. This position offers a hybrid schedule of fours days per week in the office (Dallas, TX; Tampa, FL; Fredericksburg, VA).

Position Summary

The SIU Non-Medical Major Case Manager oversees the investigation and resolution of complex, high-impact fraud cases within the Special Investigations Unit. This role requires strategic leadership, operational oversight, and collaboration across multiple divisions to ensure compliance, efficiency, and successful outcomes in major case investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Oversight
    • Manage and mentor a team of Major Case Investigators, ensuring adherence to SIU protocols and performance standards.
    • Allocate resources effectively to handle multi-claim, multi-jurisdictional fraud cases.
  • Case Management
    • Direct investigations involving organized fraud rings, staged accidents, identity theft, and other high-severity schemes.
    • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state regulations and company guidelines.
  • Collaboration
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Claims, Legal, Compliance) and external agencies (NICB, law enforcement).
    • Foster cross-functional relationships to support litigation and prosecution efforts.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Conduct performance reviews and audits based on SIU Major Case guidelines and procedures.
    • Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strategic Initiatives
    • Stay informed on emerging fraud trends and regulatory changes.
    • Contribute to SIU operational planning and fraud prevention strategies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of SIU experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance fraud schemes, investigative techniques, and legal processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Certifications such as CIFI, CPCU, or FCLS preferred.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Annual Salary

$109,675 - $172,200

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
