As the Supervisor, Nomenclature & Integration, you will play a critical leadership role within the Asset Information Management organization acting as a trusted partner to the Data & Systems Strategy group. You will combine project management expertise, data governance leadership, and strong people skills to ensure naming conventions and data integrations are logical, scalable, and built to support the future of the business.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys influencing across teams, driving standards, and creating an environment of trust, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
What You Will Do:
Lead and support the Asset Information Management project portfolio, applying project management principles to high-impact, enterprise-wide initiatives.
Develop, implement, and socialize GTM naming convention standards for facilities, pipelines, segments, valves, and valve sections—ensuring consistency and scalability across systems.
Partner closely with leadership and key stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver results that support data and systems strategy.
Establish and lead a cross-functional data nomenclature workgroup, collaborating with Pipeline Data Management, Engineering Drawings, and Enterprise Asset Management teams.
Design, document, and implement process improvements, leveraging technology to optimize workflows within the Asset Information Management group.
Oversee data governance efforts related to nomenclature, reviewing existing and acquired entity standards and coordinating updates with data owners to ensure enterprise consistency.
Build strong relationships and foster a positive, inclusive team environment, balancing independent leadership with collaborative delivery in a customer-focused, deadline-driven setting.
Proven experience in project management, data governance, and process optimization.
What you have:
Technologist Degree.
10 years of experience related to nomenclature and/or data governance.
Related university degree and minimum of ten or more years of directly related experience OR equivalent combination of formal education, certification and experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects, set milestones, allocate resources, manage budgets, and drive results in a dynamic environment.
Ability to work effectively in changing environments and respond quickly to evolving project requirements.
Proven record of building relationships and managing cross-functional teams.
Experience in business process development and optimization.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
PMP or other Project Management Certification.
Advanced proficiency in SharePoint, Planner, and Power Platform.
Experience with Artificial Intelligence to understand and analyze structured and unstructured data.
Experience in technical writing.
Working Conditions:
Typical office environment.
Travel, approximately 1 week per quarter, to other corporate offices or Operating regions.
Ability to travel within US and Canada required.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to Grasping, kneeling, light-moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read the fine print), hearing requirement. Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations. Agility can ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devices using feet, legs, and/or hands and arms.

Include but are not limited to the Ability to: understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions memoranda, formation; understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative memoranda, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology; organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
