Amentum is seeking an NMC&A Specialist. Work will support customer and client across the US but can be remote.
~Develops, applies, revises and implements quality assurance plans and audits for products to ensure product quality targets are met.
~Establishes, defines, implements, maintains, and reports on quality assurance key performance measures and standards.
~Performs root cause analysis, implements corrective actions, and monitors progress and improvements.
~Drives continuous improvement through communication and training on quality standards, requirements, and best practices.
~ Act as liaison with outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items.
~ Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors.
~ Participates in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.
~ Ensures that the company and customer’s requirements are met on assigned products, programs, areas, or functions.
~ Recommends corrective action to quality problems.
~ May work in any of the following areas of quality control/assurance engineering: design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, inventory control, product reliability, research and development and administrative application.
~ Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations.
~ Under limited supervision performs work that is varied and that is somewhat difficult in character. ~ Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
~ Interprets product quality trends.
~ May lead workers engaged in measuring, testing, and tabulating data concerning quality and reliability.
~ May compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
~ Reviews drawings, process procedures, procurement documents, and quality control reports.
~ Identifies and reports quality problems or trends.
~ May specialize in particular area of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, inventory control, product reliability, research and development, and administrative application.
Minimum Qualifications:
12+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; or,
8+ years relevant experience with Masters degree
Extensive knowledge of operations to identify issues.
Proficient in Physical Inventory, preparation, weekly and quarterly Item monitoring.
Understand and multiple training courses in Nuclear Material Instrumentation and methods.
In-depth understanding of nuclear safeguards and security.
Must be willing to travel to customer site on occasion
Preferred Qualifications:
CAT 1 & 2 facility experience
Q Cleared
Experience with NDA data review
