Job Title: Night Cleaner / Concierge
Practice: Willows
Hours: 38 hours per week
Salary: £25,780 per annum
We are currently seeking a reliable, conscientious and hardworking Cleaner / Concierge to join our Facilities team and help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our hospital.
The Role
The practice premises should be regarded as a hospital at all times, and standards of cleanliness should reflect this. Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will be responsible for both daily cleaning duties and scheduled deep cleans, ensuring our hospital is clean, safe, and presentable for patients, clients, and colleagues.
You will report directly to the Facilities Manager and play a vital role in preparing the hospital for busy working days.
Key Responsibilities
Premises Management
- Maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness in designated areas, including clinical areas and toilets
- Carry out daily cleaning and regular deep cleans of clinical and non-clinical areas
- Assist with additional cleaning tasks across the hospital as required
- Ensure both internal and external areas of the premises are clean and tidy
- Report any damaged or broken equipment in consultation rooms to management
- Communicate effectively within the Facilities team, with other departments, and with management
General Duties
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times, including the use of appropriate PPE (gloves, aprons, goggles where necessary)
- Observe correct manual handling procedures and use equipment only after appropriate training
- Clean and maintain all cleaning equipment (e.g. mops, buckets, cloths, brooms)
- Inform management of any equipment or facilities requiring repair or replacement
- Never use equipment that appears faulty
- Familiarise yourself with Health & Safety information, SOPs, and notice boards, and raise any concerns or queries with the Facilities Manager
- Follow all Employee General Guidelines

- Present a professional image of Willows Veterinary Centre at all times through exceptional cleanliness and tidiness
- Maintain high standards of hygiene while avoiding unnecessary waste of consumables and using cleaning products at correct dilutions
- Be efficient, pleasant, courteous, polite, and helpful to clients and colleagues at all times
- Treat all clients and staff with equal respect and professionalism
- Work effectively as a team member
About You
- Previous experience in a hospital, healthcare, or clinical environment is desirable
- You are reliable, detail-oriented, and take pride in your work
- You understand the importance of hygiene in a clinical setting
- You work well both independently and as part of a team
