Overlooking the Venetian Lagoon and just steps from Piazza San Marco, Danieli, a Four Seasons Hotel, Venice is an iconic property offering elegant, spacious accommodations. The historic hotel showcases majestic Venetian architecture dating back to the 14th century. Guests can also enjoy spectacular views of Venice’s landmarks from the rooftop Restaurant Terrazza Danieli.

About the Role

The Night Auditor will perform both Front Desk and Guest Services responsibilities during the overnight shift, ensuring a smooth, secure, and well‑coordinated operation. You will be responsible for the full nightly audit process, delivering warm, anticipatory, and efficient service to all guests, and supporting the overnight experience with professionalism and genuine care.

Acting as a key overnight presence in the lobby, you will handle guest interactions, check-ins, check-outs, requests, and operational duties while upholding Four Seasons standards and policies. You will also collaborate closely with the Duty Manager and Security to guarantee guest comfort and safety throughout the night.

What You Will Do

  • Perform Front Desk duties during the overnight shift, including check‑in, check‑out, guest inquiries, posting charges, and cashiering operations.

  • Assist and engage with guests in the lobby and entrance areas, offering support with luggage handling, storage, transportation arrangements, and general guest services

  • Respond promptly and warmly to guest requests, both in person and over the phone, including wake‑up calls, housekeeping needs, and concierge‑style assistance (directions, restaurant bookings, transportation, etc.).

  • Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions, ensuring a personalized and memorable guest experience.

  • Complete the Night Audit, balancing daily transactions, reviewing financial procedures, and preparing all required reports for the following day.

  • Review daily arrivals, departures, and in‑house guests, supporting the Manager on Duty in preparing the Morning Briefing reports.

  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well‑organized lobby and entrance throughout the night.

  • Ensure luggage trolleys, storage areas, and operational tools are maintained, organized, and ready for use; update the Logbook with relevant information.

  • Maintain an active, visible presence in the lobby to ensure guest comfort, safety, assistance, and personalized attention at all hours.

  • Complete detailed handovers and ensure all documentation is accurate and ready for the morning shift.

  • Support with restocking supplies and preparing the Front Desk for the next operational day.

  • Work closely with Duty Manager and Security to maintain safety, security, and impeccable guest experience throughout the night.

What You Bring

  • At least three years of experience in a similar role with proven leadership within a luxury Front Office environment.

  • An empathetic and caring approach, with the talent to provide thoughtful recommendations and personalize the guest experience so that each stay feels unique.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills, with integrity, professionalism, and strong collaboration across departments.

  • Strong business acumen, a deep passion for service, exceptional attention to detail, and a natural desire to foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

  • Fluency in English and Italian, and proficiency in a third European language is preferred

Schedule & Hours

  • Full-time position based at Hotel Danieli, Venice.

  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
