The Unit Secretary is detail-oriented, organized and supports daily operations within a fast-paced healthcare unit. This role is responsible for managing clerical tasks, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring effective communication between staff, patients, and departments.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient confidentiality and high-quality service. Responsibilities include coordinating unit activities, updating patient information in computer systems, assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges, and maintaining an organized and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Experience with computers preferred
BCLS required within 90 days of hire
