New England Select Regional Leader

Remote - Massachusetts Full time

The Regional Select Leader serves as the primary liaison between internal teams and external clients to ensure consistent and effective delivery of products and services. This role provides strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to the Select team, ensuring client satisfaction through the successful execution of Risk Strategies’ deliverables. The RSL drives the adoption of company’s best practices, coordinates cross functional services, and mentors team members to support professional growth, operational excellence, and long-term client relationships.

This is a hybrid role and will require 1–3 days per week in our Boston, MA; Worcester, MA; Guilford, CT; or Glastonbury, CT office.

Your Impact:

  • Direct oversight and supervision of Select business service team
  • Subject matter expert on P&C lines of coverage as well as carrier appetites
  • Partner with leadership to deliver and achieve broader Select practice goals
  • Lead ongoing projects within the department to streamline processes, procedures, and department initiatives
  • Coordinate training and development for the team to meet CE requirements
  • Work closely with Select Business Development Leader and Select Leader to establish and meet goals with panel carriers
  • Audit team files to make sure workflows are being followed and systems are being utilized properly. Coordinate refreshers or further training as needed
  • Drive adoption and utilization of consistent processes, workflows, and solutions for proper client management
  • Assess the performance of team members and provide ongoing coaching and feedback for continued improvement
  • Understanding practices, resources, and capabilities outside of the Select practice
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Account Managers and Associate Account Managers and serve as the initial point of contact for questions
  • Serve as the point of contact for any escalations internally or externally
  • Oversight and manage the transition if business into Select from the region
  • Balance books of business and identifying capacity needs to support the team
  • Drive renewal meetings to promote fewer and stronger as well support the team identify gaps in coverage for account rounding and cross selling
  •  Review and move business to the carrier service centers to create capacity
  •  Meet with carriers to better understand appetite as well as changes in the industry

Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • 7+ years’ experience of Commercial Lines client management experience with supervisory/management experience preferred
  • Industry specific designations preferred: CIC, ARM or similar
  • Valid P&C brokers’ license
  • BA/BS preferred
  • Consistently exceeds core practice competency-based skills and mentors’ junior staff to develop theirs
  • Continuous professional development in all areas of employee benefits with the proven ability to remain current with respect to industry trends,
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Proficient in insurance agency management systems, AMS 360 and Work Smart preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Commercial Lines underwriting, coverage, rate analysis/procedures
  • Ability to clearly articulate these products/plans to clients and underwriters, including compliance and legislative information
  • Understanding of marketplace trends and best practices to best meet client needs
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collect, interpret and/or analyze complex data and information
  • Flexible, and able to work effectively under pressure, handling multiple tasks with interruptions and changing priorities

Pay Range:

84,200 - 150,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for this role.
