The Product Development Failure Analysis (PDFA) team supports next‑generation device development by identifying and resolving component‑level issues during new product introduction. The team partners closely with Product, Process, Quality, and Test Engineering groups to enable rapid production ramp and early time‑to‑market.
As a PYE PDFA Engineer, this role focuses on evaluating product reliability and performing component failure analysis to drive improvements across fabrication, assembly, and test processes. The position uses electrical characterization, physical analysis, AI‑enabled tools, and statistical methods to identify failure mechanisms and support corrective actions.
Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and statistical failure analysis to understand and characterize failure mechanisms.
  • Identify causes of component failures using data‑driven analysis.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional engineering teams to resolve fabrication, assembly process, and test flow‑related issues.
  • Apply AI tools and statistical methodologies to analyze data and improve component performance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science.
  • Knowledge of electrical characterization and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional engineering teams to address process‑related issues.
  • Experience using AI and statistical tools for data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework in VLSI, device physics, semiconductor processes, Python, or statistics.
  • Experience with hardware, software, semiconductor design, or telecommunications engineering assignments.
