SMX is looking for a highly motivated Network Administrator to join our growing team in Patuxent River, MD! 

This position will provide onsite support at Patuxent River NAS in southern Maryland and requires a DoD Top Secret Security clearance which requires US

As the Network Administrator, you will join a team of highly-driven, supportive, and skilled professionals engaged in supporting program management, technical, or business case analysis across the NAVAIR community. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Oversee the administration of the customers environment consisting of various types of technology and vendors.
  • Engage directly with the customer, ensuring their specific requirements are met within the lab environment while being responsible for clear communication, troubleshooting efforts
  • Work with Information Security to perform routine security analysis to initiate firewall changes, security updates or implement infrastructure changes
  • Assist other Network Administrators in firewall management and intrusion prevention and detection of external gateways.
  • Network administration including user account management, firewall, office systems and applications.
  • Attend requirements gathering meetings and document customer requirements.
  • Install, configure, and support network equipment, including firewalls and switches.
  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
  • Provide pass down and turnover to operations teams for newly implemented solutions

Required Skills and Experience:

  • DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • CCNA, Security+, JNCIA - Junos

The proposed salary for this position is:
$105,000$175,000 USD
