Seeking a creative, open-minded .NET Developer to join our team working on
a powerful financial software platform built for investment management firms who want to combine portfolio management, order management, electronic trading, compliance and risk into a unified solution.
The project covers the entire investment cycle, from originating orders to meet targets, through compliance-checking, location of stock for short selling, electronic and manual execution, matching, allocation and booking, and sending trade details to custodians and administrators, as well as to other accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities
Software Design and Development:
Ability to work with complex requirements and specification documents, and devise and develop appropriate software solutions
Ability to integrate into an existing development team and work with an existing extensive code base
Participate in the overall planning and execution of development objectives
Coordinate development efforts with internal and external interfaces
Responsible for the creation of programmatic modules, unit tests and test data related to Development assignments
Ensure all development processes and practices are completely and consistently followed
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; as well as define problems, and develop methods to resolve them in a timely manner
Development standards and quality:
Maintain the consistently high quality of the software code
Ensure the relevant coverage by unit tests and/or automated testing routines
Work with peers and management to develop process standards and/or enhancements to prevent re-occurrence of Development-related issues
Qualifications:
Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years of experience in software development
Excellent understanding of C# programming language, WCF
Advanced SQL Server and Transact SQL skills
Experience with DevOps practices and tools is highly desirable, as the role may involve supporting DevOps activities
Strong experience with unit testing
Strong experience working with Windows Forms
Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio Development environment and Microsoft TFS or GIT
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability
Experience in Agile development methodologies
Good analytical skills in assessing user, functional and technical requirements
Good problem solving, troubleshooting and communication skills
Good English skills (both spoken and written)
