Details of the role and how it fits into the team
This role sits within the Operational Risk Management (ORM) function, with a focus on overseeing and enhancing the bank’s approach to digitalisation risk. The position is embedded in the Chief Risk Office (CRO) of the organisation and contributes to the strengthening of the bank’s risk governance across digital processes, digital assets, technology‑enabled services, and emerging regulatory expectations.
Your key responsibilities
Support independent oversight, challenge, and guidance on digitalisation‑related risks across business and infrastructure functions.
Perform detailed risk assessments and analysis of digital risks arising from automation, digital assets, cloud solutions, digital workflows, AI/ML‑enabled processes, and end‑to‑end process transformation initiatives.
Support the development and maintenance of the bank’s digitalisation risk framework, including risk taxonomies, control standards, and risk assessment methodologies.
Monitor regulatory developments in areas such as digital operational resilience, digital assets, and technology governance, and support regulatory impact assessments and implementation activities under senior guidance.
Work closely with 1st Line teams and specialist functions to gather information, perform thematic reviews, assess control effectiveness, and track remediation actions related to digitalisation risk.
Prepare high‑quality analysis, documentation, and materials to support senior ORM stakeholders, risk governance forums, and internal reporting.
Your skills and experiences
Degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
Experience in operational risk, digitalisation risk, technology risk, or a related control function, ideally within a financial institution or regulated environment.
Practical, hands‑on understanding of digital technologies and architectures, including cloud platforms, APIs, automation technologies, and distributed systems.
Experience supporting the assessment of technology‑enabled processes and digital transformation initiatives from a risk and control perspective.
Understanding of cloud architectures (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure) and associated operational and resilience risks.
Understanding of API architectures, microservices environments, and platform‑based digital ecosystems.
Familiarity with digital assets and distributed ledger technologies (DLT) and their associated risk considerations.
Working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g. DORA, MiCAR, technology outsourcing, and digital operational resilience).
Strong analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear, evidence‑based analysis and communicate findings effectively to senior stakeholders.
