What you’ll do  

We have a permanent opportunity to join the Oncology team as a National Sales Manager for the Lung Cancer portfolio. Reporting to the Business Unit Head, you will be responsible for developing, inspiring and leading our Oncology Business Managers, specifically championing our account management business model to ensure that AZ is well positioned to deliver on our scientific and commercial business priorities.

As a National Sales Manager, you will

  • Coach your team to optimise their scientific knowledge, account management expertise and commercial acumen.
  • Set measurable, clear goals and expectations and track progress, delivering on all agreed sales metrics.
  • Build knowledge and understanding of AZ Oncology’s overall value proposition, develop and manage long-term relationships with the MDTs and other relevant senior stakeholders within prioritised accounts.
  • Support business planning including account management, customer segmentation, and targeting via effective cross functional teamwork.
  • Champion the evolution of our omnichannel journey by ensuring new capabilities and behaviours are adopted and embedded.
  • Shape the Oncology sales strategy with the Business Unit Head and Oncology Leadership Team to deliver business objectives.

Essential for the role  

  • Demonstrated sales leadership experience in a national sales management role.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to engage, coach & develop a team of experienced and high performing Oncology Business Managers.
  • Deep understanding of Key Account Management principles and proven track record of developing and successfully executing compelling account strategies.
  • Evidence of established relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders in complex clinical environments.
  • Demonstrated successes in building strong internal relationships through effective communication, influencing and collaborative networking skills
  • Results orientation, accountability, strong business acumen and analytical skills to enable effective contributions to the creation and implementation of brand strategy and tactical execution.
  • Specialty Care National Sales Management experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel nationally to fulfill the coaching requirements of the role.
