About the Position:
An ideal candidate for the MVP Program Coordinator position in DRS’s Managed Vendor Partner practice will have a proven track record in business development and commercial insurance, with hands-on experience in loss coordination across mitigation, restoration, and rebuild operations. The Managing Consultant will be responsible for growing and managing the MVP program, coordinating vendor partner networks, and serving as the primary point of contact for vendors, clients, brokers, and carriers before and after a loss event.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the MVP program across commercial and public entity markets
Drive business development through client and broker targeting, industry conferences, and carrier relationships
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients, brokers, and carrier partners
Negotiate and execute program agreements with clients and vendor partners
Recruit, vet, onboard, and maintain relationships with MVP vendor partners across restoration, mitigation, roofing, HVAC, debris removal, environmental response, reconstruction, and specialty trades
Negotiate and maintain pre-event pricing agreements with vendor partners to ensure program competitiveness and client value
Monitor vendor credentialing, insurance compliance, licensing, cooperative contracts, and performance standards on an ongoing basis
Apply working knowledge of mitigation, restoration, and rebuild processes to direct vendor activity and ensure recovery scope is appropriately sequenced and executed post-loss
Review and validate scope of work and pricing elements across active engagements to protect client interests and support accurate loss documentation
Activate and deploy the vendor network rapidly following a catastrophic event; serve as the single point of coordination across clients, vendors, carriers, and the DRS internal team
Coordinate closely with DRS’s forensic accounting team to ensure field documentation and cost capture align with claim preparation requirements
Liaise between clients and their commercial insurance carriers, brokers, and adjusters to facilitate efficient claims processing
Cultivate and manage relationships with client executives, claims advocates, brokers, and carrier contacts
Monitor and report on program activity, recovery milestones, and engagement metrics
Engage in performance management activities, including goal setting and feedback sessions
Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in business development, commercial insurance, loss coordination, or disaster recovery
Demonstrated track record of managing complex vendor or contractor networks in a post-loss context, with direct accountability for recovery outcomes
Proven experience cultivating relationships with commercial insurance brokers and carriers, including working knowledge of claims processes, policy structures, and stakeholder dynamics
Hands-on loss coordination experience with direct exposure to mitigation and restoration sequencing, scope of work development, pricing validation, and field oversight of recovery operations
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in construction management, business, finance, risk management, or related discipline; advanced degree a plus
Strong understanding of commercial property insurance claims, including business interruption, property damage, and large-loss claim preparation
Working knowledge of mitigation, restoration, and rebuild processes across relevant trade disciplines, including scope and pricing elements sufficient to coordinate vendors and validate recovery work
Exceptional negotiation skills with complex/sophisticated situations involving executive and senior level stakeholders
High energy style, flexible and adaptive, with the ability to work well in a very fast paced environment
Ability to adapt to complex client environments and situations, including rapid deployment during catastrophic events
Proven track record of effectively planning for and proactively mitigating risks on engagements
Expert written communication skills, self-directed with preparation of client-ready documents and presentations
Articulate, persuasive communicator who is adept at handling executive and difficult audiences well, including ability to adapt style to audience
Ability to work independently and as part of a high-functioning team
Certifications such as PMP, licensed adjuster, CEM, or related credentials are a plus
Work Location:
This position is a remote work experience with heavy travel required to client sites, vendor locations, industry events, and active loss recovery operations, as the role dictates.
Salary Transparency:
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations. The expected salary ranges is $125,000 – $200,000 and may also include performance-based incentive compensation or commissions tied to individual and business performance.
