Raytheon is seeking a Munitions Acceleration Associate Director for the Tomahawk portfolio. Reporting to the Tomahawk Execution Director, the Munitions Acceleration Assoc Director will manage initiatives associated with TLAM Capacity, MST Capacity and long-term acceleration strategy for all Tomahawk configurations.

The Munitions Acceleration Associate Director (AD) will serve as a key member of the portfolio leadership team, tasked with achieving unprecedented production and recertification rates in the history of the Tomahawk program. This role is driven by a rapidly expanding customer base, encompassing both the Department of Defense (DoD) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS), as well as an urgent need to bolster fleet inventory. These factors are generating a demand signal that is projected to nearly triple the current throughput capacity of Tomahawk production facilities and the supply chain.

As part of the Execution & Growth Pillar, the Munitions Acceleration AD will collaborate closely with the Tomahawk Production and Development organizations to meet these ambitious objectives. This position requires demonstrated expertise in leading dynamic, cross-functional teams, managing high-visibility initiatives, and effectively communicating project goals, objectives, decisions, and results to stakeholders, including team members, customers, and senior leadership. Additionally, the role encompasses responsibility for capturing and executing all initiatives related to munitions acceleration, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational excellence.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop overarching portfolio strategy for munitions acceleration which will encompass capacity initiatives, obsolescence mitigations, TE modernization and alternate sourcing.  This includes the interface with other program leaders engaged with ongoing munitions acceleration execution efforts.
  • Lead team responsible for capture and execution of over $500M in customer funded capacity projects for both Block V and Block Va configurations.
  • Interface with Raytheon corporate Munitions Acceleration Team and provide support to data requests, program specific inputs and customer interactions
  • Lead munition acceleration focused engagements with the USN PEO U&W and PMA280 senior leadership.
  • Develop strategy, cost estimates and proposals to capture additional customer funding and program investment (to include bidding, gating, negotiation, contract definitization, and start-up).
  • Execute PM cadence (battle rhythm) such as risk review boards, schedule performance reviews, customer reviews, program management reviews (PMRs) to achieve contract commitments.
  • Partner with the Production and Development Program Directors to leverage shared resources and bridge any gaps between the organizations.
  • Display strong communication, influence management, and presentation skills, and comfortably interact with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of leadership.
  • Establish and maintain a positive team culture.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional teams preferably in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Prior experience working government programs (large/complex) with direct customer interfaces, both internal and external, including Industry Partners

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with financial analysis tools and project management tools and/or systems.
  • Experience balancing technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
  • Leadership experience in either an IPT organizational structure and/or a iPL (integrated Program Leadership) construct
  • Raytheon Program Management certification at level 4, or ability to achieve within 6 months.
  • Experience with the USN, NAVSEA, NAVAIR customer community and contract negotiations with these entities.
  • Execution experience leading a cross functional team.
  • Strong proficiency in partnering with matrixed organizations.
  • Proven track record of customer relationship building.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Working knowledge of EX/IM, EVMS and Security requirements.
  • Prior experience supporting development, production, and/or sustainment programs, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Working knowledge of contract formation, execution, and management.
  • Proficiency with RTX Program Management tools or similar program management systems

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
