Job Description:
Job Code: Multisystem Physical Architecture –Engineer (MSPA)
Job Description
Safety comes first in what we do at Airbus. The architecture of the different Aircraft Systems meet the highest safety requirements through rigorous engineering for a safe and optimized integration of aircraft. The design of these safety critical Systems (like Fuel systems, Air conditioning System, Hydraulic System, Electrical System etc.) is highly iterative and is driven by Systems Engineering principles to ensure consistency and traceability.
Multi-system Physical Architecture(MSPA) Team ensures that the architecture design of these different systems, conforms to the safety requirements and answers Functional Hazard Analysis done at various levels, thereby eliminating or mitigating failure effects that may result in Aircraft Level Catastrophic Condition.
As a Multi -System Physical Architecture – Engineer, you will be responsible for a host of activities in the area of Aircraft functional and physical safety analysis. You will rigorously use System engineering principles to verify and validate system safety requirements, which will expose you to aircraft level functions. Your contribution comes early on in the development cycle, which ensures we integrate aircraft systems the right way.
You will get an opportunity to work on different aircraft programs involving different Aircraft systems, with responsibilities to,
Build an early stage 3D design of an integrated aircraft, referred as Global Architecture Mockup
Conduct System Safety Analysis based on ARP 4761 guidelines, employing System Engineering practises
Screen and Implement Architecture changes, with a focus on the ones impacting system safety
Ensure convergence of Global Architecture Mockup with modifications and evolving system architecture definition
Converge and implement Electrical routing definition, like Wiring Diagrams, to ensure correctness of functional safety analysis
Summarize safety findings and synthesize report of the analysis to show “Proof of Compliance”
You will also be learning to,
Support EWIS verification and validation (V&V) activities in collaboration with system responsible
Conduct Trade Off studies for Weight/cost/ performance assessment
Interface with relevant counterparts in Europe to ensure maximum effectiveness of Physical Systems Architecture design
Education & Experience
B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.E., in aerospace/mechanical/electrical.
Preferably 2-5 year’s work experience
Required Technical Expertise
Overall Knowledge on aircraft and its Systems
Basic understanding of Safety analysis in Aircraft – FHA, SSA, CCA
Electric Harness Design
System schematics
3D Design Tools (Ex. CATIA)
Requirement Validation

Ability to work independently & in a team in a transnational environment
Confident communication and good interpersonal skills
Strong affiliation to reason and enquiry, out of the box thinking
Willingness to learn new skills relying on self-development
