MRTT VS Performance Improver

Job Description:

A vacancy for an MRTT VS Performance Improver (m/f) has arisen within Airbus D&S in Getafe. The successful applicant will support its continuous improvement journey.

Please note that this position is based on the MRTT Conversion Center and therefore there is no possibility to work remotely.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • driving improvement initiatives according to LBIP+ methodology and support projects implementation results in the plant.

  • establishing the use of operative performance indicators, monitor and report business KPIs.

  • Continuously improving the implementation of Operations Excellence System (OES) in the MRTT VS.

  • Training the plant population on the necessary Airbus D&S standards

  • Managing cultural and digital changes within the organization.

  • Fostering the generation of improvement ideas and the empowerment of the operational teams.

  • Easing management decisions by quantifying the impact of the improvement projects.

  • Promoting best practices sharing for continuous improvement with rest of Airbus FALs & plants and document know-how and capture “how to” learning solutions or tutorials.

  • Deploy systematic data analytics models according to the specific performance issues. 

Required skills: 

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level in Aeronautical/Industrial Engineering.

  • At least 2 years of Experience in Production (A330/modified aircraft and tanker systems) or other AD Operations FALs / Plants.

  • Proven experience in Operations Excellence System (OES) deployment or Airbus Operating System (AOS) in other industries (Toyota Production System or similar).

  • Management of all qualifications of personnel and facilities required from Airworthiness Authorities, both civil and military.

  • Auditing/Assessing

  • Programming skills (C#, Python, Java…) and UX/UI design.

  • Knowledge of regulations constraints, including Quality system, in a Part 145 and Maintenance operations and Basic Airworthiness principles.

  • Knowledge about Manufacturing, Engineering is a must.

  • Facilitation skills and team coaching.

  • Language skills: English (Advanced Level) and Spanish (Fluent). French is also desirable due to the link with A330 FAL in TLS and DTO in Toulouse.
