Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and secure modernisation opportunities within existing maintenance portfolios and through new business development.
  • Engage customers to raise awareness of the need for modernisation and upgrades, presenting tailored solutions.
  • Conduct site surveys, technical assessments in collaboration with engineering and design teams.
  • Prepare accurate configuration pricing, quotes, proposals, and tender responses, ensuring both technical and commercial viability.
  • Manage the full sales process from prospecting through to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Accurately forecast modernisation sales (annual, quarterly, monthly) and provide loss reporting for transparency.
  • Maintain pipeline discipline, ensuring activity, conversion rates, and forecasts are consistently updated in company systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Service, Repairs, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality bids and RFQs.
  • Meet or exceed agreed sales targets for modernisation revenue, margin, and pipeline development.
  • Lead by example in behaviours, values, and customer focus.

Measured KPIs

  • Number of customer/site visits vs. plan, expectation 3 days per week (tracked via CRM check-ins or visit logs).
  • Number of proposals issued vs. plan. Number of new qualified leads generated per month (target: 10–15).
  • Orders booked vs. plan.
  • Margin % booked vs. plan.
  • Forecast accuracy (annual, quarterly, monthly).
  • New business pipeline growth: Target increase of 25–35% within 12 months.
  • Average deal size: Increase by 10–15% through better qualification and consultative selling
  • Pipeline activity, conversion rates, and coverage metrics.
  • Incentive/bonus in line with individual performance against sales target/plan.

  • 20–30% increase in new business pipeline within 12 months.
  • Improved customer acquisition through better targeting and qualification.
  • Stronger brand presence and reputation in key growth regions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • We require a commercially focused individual with a passion for identifying new opportunities and the motivation to pursue them with energy and persistence.
  • An accomplished sales professional who thrives on securing new business and demonstrates initiative without the need for close supervision
  • Proven track record in B2B sales within the lift industry or related technical/engineering sectors.
  • Experience in lift modernisation, new equipment, or technical project sales (preferred).
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to prepare, price, and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Capable of managing long-cycle sales pipelines and complex negotiations.
  • Good technical understanding of lift systems and ability to conduct site assessments.
  • Ability to carry out technical surveys
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage at all levels from engineers to property directors.
  • Results-driven, motivated by targets and long-term customer partnerships.
  • Familiar with CRM systems and pipeline management tools.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
