Middle strong/Senior Technical Writer

We are looking for a Middle strong/Senior Technical Writer to join our team. N-iX was entrusted with testing connected watch apps (iOS & Android) and devices for a Swiss luxury watch brand. You will be responsible for bringing the user documentation for several watch models up to date and supporting ongoing releases. After that, your main goal will be to design and create the comprehensive yet clear and succinct user documentation for the upcoming next-generation watch.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, audit, and refactor existing User Manuals for current connected watches and mobile applications (iOS & Android) to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date;
  • Design, structure, and author the complete User Manual and supporting documentation for the upcoming next-generation watch release;
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and the QA team to understand new features, hardware specifications, and app functionalities;
  • Collaborate with the project’s system team for smooth industrialisation of the publication process;
  • Continuously ensure adequacy with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) using tools such as Lighthouse and Wave;
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with the luxury brand’s tone of voice, style guides, and high standards for user experience;
  • Translate complex technical specifications (connectivity, pairing, firmware updates) into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand instructions for end-users;
  • Manage the documentation timeline to ensure all guides are ready and reviewed prior to product launches and app updates;
  • Prepare release documentation (release notes, FAQs) to ensure all product updates, enhancements, and bug fixes are accurately documented and communicated both to internal stakeholders and end users.

Requirements:

  • Spoken and written advanced English;
  • At least 3 years of experience in writing high-quality hardware and software procedural documentation for non-technical audiences;
  • Strong knowledge of the topic-based authoring approach and minimalism;
  • 1 year of experience designing and publishing web documentation using Markdown and Docusaurus;
  • Hands-on experience with Git-based source control tools;
  • Ability to tailor the documentation development lifecycle to existing release processes;
  • Ability to work independently and with others;
  • Strong self-organization and time-management skills.
