The Middle Office (MO) Operations Department’s purpose is to ensure a scalable and efficient Global Operation that enhances client experience across the full value chain and reduces cost and complexity.
We require a MO experienced new team member for our MO team based in Singapore, responsible for being the intermediary between Saxo’s Front Office and Processing teams, providing support to the Trading and Sales functions.
MO provides the Segregation of Duties for Saxo’s operational functions, being second line of defence for analysis, investigating and solving complex queries, managing trade booking breaks, migration support and improving procedures in general.
Among others you will be responsible for:
Operational ownership of Futures and Options (F&O) processing – F&O lifecycle events, Close outs, CA Options, Projects.
Being an effective point of Escalation for our stakeholders, providing the link and knowledge to ensure issues are investigated timely and resolved efficiently.
Assessing the risk of the tasks and knowledge in prioritising and escalating accordingly.
Effective collaboration and regular communication with stakeholders to streamline processes and share these with the team so they become best practice.
SLA oriented focus on breaks minimising across all products
Taking responsibility for ad-hoc admin duties and projects as instructed by the Team Lead and Global Head of Function.
Conducting any additional tasks for which the qualifications and experience of a MO role are suited as directed by the stakeholders and clients of Saxo.
Developing and maintaining business documentation.
Acting coordinator on behalf of Operations for key projects.
Being the front runner on projects involvement in new business/product with Operational impact.
Broker onboarding and account creations.
P1/P2 incidents by engaging in validations and sanity checks.
Being and active participant in UAT testing and sign offs.
Enhancement/improvement for team processes and STP solutions.
Migration coordination for Operations (Internal/External) communications, runbook and planning.
General responsibilities:

YOUR PROFILE
As a person you come across as a confident and initiative-taking individual with a strong background in Operations and preferably experience within a MO role with in-depth knowledge of Futures and Options. You must be able to build strong internal and external relationships.
Further, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics with minimum 3 years of financial industry experience in a Middle Office or similar role.
Sound knowledge of financial products offered by Saxo, especially Futures and Options. Among others – CFDs, Forex, Forex Options, Commodities, Stocks, Bonds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and Mutual Funds (preferred).
Intermediate Microsoft Excel, SQL and Python skills.
Up-to-date knowledge of financial markets.
Commitment to providing excellent service to customer and other stakeholders.
Able to work well in a culturally diversified environment.
The ability to use own initiative effectively, when appropriate.
Ability to work well under pressure, consistently achieving targets and managing risks.
Able to work early shift – 06:00am to 15:00pm (only on every Monday, for now).
