Job Title: Manager – Solutions Engineering

Overview

This role is part of the Technology & Solutions Center (TASC), the engine behind Boomi’s Global Solution Engineering organization. TASC drives consistency, scale, and technical excellence by delivering high-quality PoCs, assists in RFP responses, builds internal solutions to scale and reliable demo environments that support revenue-generating activities.

The TASC Manager is responsible for leading a team of solution builders and technical specialists, ensuring delivery excellence across PoCs, demo operations, and internal initiatives. This role blends people leadership, operational management, and technical oversight to ensure the team operates efficiently, meets SLAs, and aligns with global GTM priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Delivery Oversight

  • Lead and support a team delivering PoCs, custom demos, internal projects and demo environment operations

  • Ensure high-quality, timely delivery aligned to defined SLAs and business priorities

  • Provide day-to-day guidance, unblock issues, and support team members in execution

  • Conduct regular 1:1s, coaching, and performance feedback to develop team capability

  • Manage team capacity across core functions: PoC delivery, RFP/RFI support, Demo Ops, and internal initiatives

  • Prioritize work based on deal stage, revenue impact, and urgency

  • Ensure Jira is used consistently as the system of record for intake, tracking, and delivery

  • Maintain visibility into team workload, timelines, and risks

  • Enforce intake processes and ensure all work is properly scoped and tracked

  • Drive adherence to SLAs and continuously improve delivery efficiency

  • Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to scale operations

  • Partner with leadership to refine engagement models and service definitions

  • Maintain strong understanding of PoC architectures, demo builds, and integration patterns

  • Support technical review of complex builds and ensure solution quality

  • Oversee demo environment readiness and coordinate with infrastructure teams for uptime and provisioning

  • Guide the team on best practices for reusable assets and scalable solutions

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in presales, solution engineering, or technical delivery roles

  • Prior experience leading projects or mentoring team members (formal or informal leadership)

  • Strong understanding of presales workflows: PoCs, demos, RFPs, and technical solutioning

  • Experience working with Jira or similar tools for intake, tracking, and workflow management

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance competing demands in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage global stakeholders

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of integration concepts (APIs, data flows, system connectivity)

  • Familiarity with Boomi platform (Integration, API Management, Data) preferred

  • Experience working with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and demo environments is a plus

  • Understanding of demo build processes, data setup, and system dependencies
