Job Description
This position is a timebound grant funded position with a current end date of September 30, 2027. This position will be eliminated upon termination of the grant.
Location: 4345 N Lincoln Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73105
Salary: $69,916.00/year
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
Primary Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The MFPTI Project Manager is a grant funded leadership role responsible for the full administration, oversight, and reporting of the MFPTI grant. This position reports directly to the overall MFP Project Director and works closely with the Tribal Government Relations Director and the Long Term Services and Supports Senior Director. The Project Manager oversees all programmatic, operational, and fiscal components of the initiative, including grant expenditures, invoicing, and approval of qualified HCBS services developed in partnership with the state to support individuals transitioning to or residing in the community.
This role requires strong cultural awareness, experience working with Tribal Nations, and the ability to coordinate complex activities across state, federal, and Tribal partners.
Plans and organizes project activities with OHCA, tribal entities, state and federal agencies, and organizations as needed.
Coordinates with the Long-Term Services and Supports unit, project personnel and contractors who are directly responsible for assigned activities and operations.
Ensures effective relations and exhibits cultural awareness and sensitivity with project stakeholders including tribal stakeholders, long-term care advocacy organizations, disability groups and organizations affiliated with the tribal population and coordinates arrangements for stakeholder involvement.
Oversee the development of culturally appropriate educational and outreach material for the Money Follows the Person Tribal Initiative grant.
Coordinates input from tribal stakeholders, develops and conducts presentations, training and other activities as required under the Money Follows the Person Tribal Initiative.
Leads outreach and recruitment activities in tribal communities and tribal stakeholders.
Leads constituent issues related to Money Follows the Person Tribal Initiative grant.
Complies with all federally funded program requirements including but not limited to appropriate documentation and monitoring for compliance.
Conducts data analysis of tribal outreach efforts and develops reports for CMS and agency administration.
Represents the agency in contacts with officials, other agencies and providers.
Directs the preparation of reports regarding program and other activities, including recommendations for changes and improvements.
Conducts and directs management surveys regarding the Money Follows the Person Tribal Initiative grant.
Works with the MFP Data Quality Analyst to complete and validate CMS SemiAnnual Reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of all required federal data elements. This includes coordinating with internal units and Tribal partners to verify program performance measures, transition activity, quality indicators, and financial documentation.
Oversee Quarterly Tribal Subrecipient Spending reviews, ensuring expenditures align with approved budgets, federal guidelines, and the MFPTI workplan. This involves monitoring spending patterns, validating supporting documentation, and preparing summaries for MFP DQA, agency leadership and CMS. Produces and analyzes database reports as requested on scheduled or ad hoc basis.
Monitors and updates specific content for web-based dissemination.
Produces mandatory reports, from Tribal Subrecipients, in a timely manner for submission to MFP Project Director and CMS to ensure compliance with Money Follows the Person Tribal Initiative grant.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position may have supervisory responsibilities.
This position requires comprehensive knowledge of federal grant administration, Medicaid long-term services and supports (LTSS), and Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), along with an understanding of Tribal governance structures and culturally responsive engagement practices. The role demands strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills, including the ability to oversee complex initiatives, manage grant expenditures, interpret federal requirements, and ensure compliance with CMS reporting standards. The ability to build and maintain effective relationships across Tribal Nations, state agencies, federal partners, and community stakeholders is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly, facilitate collaboration, and lead outreach and training efforts. This position also requires the ability to analyze program data, monitor performance, and translate findings into actionable insights that support program improvement and accountability. This role aligns with key Korn Ferry competencies including Manages Complexity, by coordinating multifaceted program, compliance, and stakeholder requirements; Collaborates, by building strong partnerships across Tribal, state, and federal entities; and Ensures Accountability, by maintaining oversight of grant performance, reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Master’s degree and 2 years of professional experience OR
A bachelor’s degree and 3 years of professional experience OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education.
Bachelor’s degree in Native American Studies
Related experience in project management and/or tribal relations
Experience working with tribal governments and communities, including social service programs, health services, and long-term care programs
Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise levels. In the course of performing job duties, employees are required to speak, stand, walk, and reach with their hands and arms. This position requires extended periods of sitting and daily use of computers and phones. Employees must be willing to complete all job-related travel associated with this position. Being present at the office is an essential function of this position.
