Position Summary

Quality Engineer/Conductor (QC) will lead quality systems implementation and compliance. Also drive continuous improvement projects from a process and/or equipment quality perspective. The quality Engineer will work closely with the department’s engineers, both application and equipment engineers and technicians, to spread quality best-known methods to the department.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • The department quality conductor owns quality related projects that includes develop, manage and periodically report quality KPIs to the leadership.

  • Monitor and analyze quality process and equipment data to identify improvement opportunities and drive actions plans till closure.

  • Provide support for non-conformance wafer disposition due to quality incidents.

  • Lead failure analysis for both equipment and process related quality incidents using 8D methodology with focus on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques (5 why, Fishbone, 8D etc.) and corrective and preventive actions. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Engineering Specification as and when needed to ensure quality standards are met and improved.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining equipment and process FMEAs periodically.

  • Own external audits and lead internal audit programs to ensure compliance with automotive standard.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering degree (Master’s in technical field a plus).

  • Proficient in Microsoft suites including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point.

  • ≥5 years of high-volume manufacturing environment driving quality improvements.

  • Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes. Familiarity with quality standards (IATF16949, VDA, AIAG, and ISO 9001:2015).

The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $150,760. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
