About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Merchant Services Sales Consultant. In this role you will work alongside experienced consultants as part of a newly aligned Small Business Merchant Services team and partner with small business managers. In this role, you will:

  • Drive new business growth by selling Wells Fargo merchant products and payment solutions to diverse, complex small‑business clients.
  • Partner closely with Small Business Managers and LOB stakeholders to support an assigned territory and expand Wells Fargo’s presence.
  • Provide consultative, solutions‑based selling, including software integrations, standalone terminals, eCommerce, and mobile payment capabilities.
  • Identify and prospect new opportunities, manage a strong sales pipeline, and execute territory development strategies.
  • Apply independent judgment to resolve complex client situations while navigating policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with internal partners, internal/external customers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless client implementation and long‑term success.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Merchant Services Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience selling merchant services in a large bank or major financial institution.
  • Proven prospecting success, including client outreach, lead conversion, and pipeline management.
  • Strong communication skills, business acumen, and confidence presenting payment solutions to decision makers.
  • Business‑to‑business (B2B) sales background.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong prospecting, influence, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Confident presentation skills with diverse client and stakeholder groups.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, structured environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, including proficiency with CRM systems.


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 30% within your assigned territory.
  • Must reside in or near the defined market area of Tempe Arizona and Chandler Arizonia.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work from a home office.

Locations: Remote role candidates must live within the designated geographic market of Tempe Arizona and Chandler Arizonia.
