Job Description Summary

MEP Inspector of Works is responsible for inspecting and monitoring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations at the project site. The role ensures that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards relevant to data centre environments.

About the Role:  

  • Inspect MEP installations (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Verify materials delivered to site and ensure they meet project standards and approved submittals.
  • Monitor contractor workmanship and raise observation reports or NCRs for deviations.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities by witnessing tests and verifying results.
  • Prepare daily inspection reports and update the Resident Engineer on site progress and issues.

About You:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in MEP site inspection, preferably for data centres, industrial facilities, or mission‑critical projects.
  • Hands-on experience inspecting mechanical (HVAC, chilled water), electrical (LV/MV systems, UPS, generators), plumbing, and fire protection installations.
  • Experience handling QA/QC inspections, test witnessing, and installation verification.
  • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, and method statements.
