MEET Business Support Lead

Role Summary

The MEET Business Support Lead will set up and lead a newly established team within the Thessaloniki MEET Service Center (MEET SC) responsible for enabling strategic growth, operational excellence, and scalable onboarding of new market activities into the SC. This role will also oversee the development and governance of business cases and manage enhancements programs (e.g. ILT) on behalf of the MEET SC.

This role will establish and lead the Business Support team, responsible for execution of the newly onboarded market activities (e.g. transactional, administrative), ensuring that MEET SC operates with clarity, compliance, efficiency, and strong stakeholder engagement.

The MEET Business Support Lead will demonstrate accountability and integrity in the face of challenges and respond to change with agility, optimism, and innovation. They will collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to help identify opportunities for continuous improvement that will allow the MEET organization to better serve its customers.

This role will be based in Thessaloniki, Greece, and will report to the MEET EMEA Regional Operations Lead.  The MEET Business Support Lead will also work closely with regional operations, and other MEET COEs (e.g. PI&C and PS&I) as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

 

Transactional Operations

  • Oversee all transactions and admin activities performed by the MEET SC on behalf of the transitioned markets and perform detailed review of MEET data submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage process execution and ensure business continuity.

  • Exhibit a deep knowledge of Pharma guidelines, local regulatory controls, and tax rules.

  • Uphold prescribed strong key performance indicators and metrics aligned with business Stakeholders.

Leadership & Strategic Direction

  • Liaise with regional leaders (e.g. Europe Cluster Leaders, Europe Cluster Commercial Excellence and AI Leads) to assess emerging needs and market gaps.

  • Build, lead, and develop the Business Support team, setting strategic priorities and ensuring alignment with MEET SC and regional/global objectives.

  • Represent EMEA Regional Operations team in governance frameworks for business-case evaluation, enhancements planning, and process standardization.

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the EMEA Regional Operations Lead and other MEET EMEA leaders.

Business Case Management & Market Integration

  • Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of business cases that transition activities from markets to MEET SC, including scoping, requirements gathering, financial modelling, risk assessment, approval management, and execution oversight.

  • Design and manage transition playbooks, coordinating hiring, onboarding, knowledge transfer, change management, and hyper‑care activities.

  • Partner with Regional Ops, Finance, Compliance, and Global teams to ensure consistent, scalable transitions across markets.

Enhancements, Change & Innovation Governance Regional Operations POC

  • Represent EMEA Regional Operations in the Enhancements portfolio (e.g., ILT) overseeing intake, prioritization, UAT planning, deployment, and post‑Go‑Live evaluation.

  • Serve as MEET Regional Operations’ primary interface for Navigator, and cross‑functional enhancements—ensuring SC needs and market pain points are reflected in global roadmaps.

  • Coordinate hyper care processes, support escalations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Experience & Communication

  • Lead structured engagement with markets, including communication plans, workshops, updates, and feedback loops.

  • Ensure clear, timely communication of changes, enhancements, timelines, and transition impacts to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Represent MEET SC in key cross‑functional meetings, steering committees, and regional forums.

Metrics, Insights & Reporting

  • Manage dashboards that track operational performance, enhancement execution, transition milestones, and risk indicators.

  • Provide data‑driven insights to support decision‑making at both regional and global levels.

  • Own the KPI framework for the Business Support team.

Global Alignment & Risk Management

  • Partner with MEET PI&C and other teams to ensure MEET SC is aligned with global programs, system controls reviews, and product deployments.

  • Partner with MEET PI&C to manage audit readiness for transitioned markets and support risk mitigation plans across the portfolio.

  • Partner with MEET PI&C to ensure all activities—business cases, transitions, enhancements—adhere to compliance and governance standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record in hiring, managing, coaching and growing a large multinational team.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in demanding operations, business transformation, or shared services/BPO leadership.

  • Proven track record in change management and end‑to‑end business case delivery, including ideation, planning, budgeting, piloting, and go‑live.

  • Proven track record in global Automation and/or AI initiatives.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive‑level presentation skills.

  • Excellent analytical capabilities and proficiency with operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools.

  • Familiarity with Navigator, myMEETings, Ariba, SAP, Meeting Planning Agency frameworks.

  • Proven experience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act transactions, MAPP Policy and healthcare compliance policies.

  • Comfort with ambiguity, changing requirements and timelines.
