Pediatrics GME/UME StaffJob Duties:
Clerkship Coordinator (75%)
Coordinates the scheduling of the clerkship calendar for third-year medical students
Coordinate with faculty to distribute students on clinical service rotations during their clerkship
Coordinate with faculty and residents to schedule lectures, simulation activities, standardized patient sessions, and examinations
Conduct orientation sessions for each clerkship block, introducing students to schedules, expectations, assigned faculty, and grading criteria
Prepare and maintain syllabus, case summaries, schedules, and clerkship materials
Proctor examinations and assist with maintaining exam materials
Correlate grades and manage activities associated with the clerkship grading process
Collect, monitor, and report student evaluation data for the rotation
Maintain confidential student records and track student patient encounter logs and generate reports as needed
Provide support to the Clerkship Director in the administration of the medical student program
Serve as liaison between the program leadership, faculty, residents, and medical students
Coordinate student feedback meetings and assist with resolving scheduling or rotation issues
Assist the Clerkship Director with keeping the syllabus, schedules, and training materials up to date
Ensure the proper materials are available to the medical student for each lecture in accordance with copyright guidelines and regulations
MS-4 Student Coordination (15%)
Coordinate scheduling and administration of fourth-year pediatric electives, sub-internships, critical care electives, and rural preceptorships
Work with residency program to coordinate visiting student rotations
Coordinate and assign evaluations to preceptors and teaching faculty
Assist with tracking and processing MS-4 student grades
Department & Program Support (10%)
Update and maintain medical student information on the department website
Provide administrative support to faculty and the department as needed
Attend department and education meetings as requested
Participate in professional development and clerkship administrator training opportunities

Work Environment:
This position is primarily onsite, providing support to faculty and medical students.
The position may be eligible for a hybrid schedule, combining in-office and remote work, after a training period and with supervisor approval.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma
Work Experience: 3 years of administrative experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, business, healthcare administration, or related field
Work Experience: Experience in an academic, medical education, or healthcare setting

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
